Reproscan is a Mumbai-based printing and prepress studio. Pankaj Mehta, a JJ School of Arts graduate with deep expertise in fine scanning and colour preparation, founded it about 40 years ago (around 1985). It began as a prepress house preparing print-ready files. In 2006 it became one of India's earliest HP Indigo adopters and moved into digital printing. Today it runs an HP Indigo 7900 (Series 3) from its unit at Electric Mansion, Prabhadevi. It produces labels, books and archival pieces from a 6,000 sq ft facility.
Reproscan has strong roots in India's art community. It is known for art catalogues, photo books and coffee table books for renowned Indian artists. The company is now run by Pankaj together with his son Tanuj (a Master's in printing from Arizona State University) and his cousin Ketan Mehta. It also mentors students from JJ School of Arts.
