Saifee Makasarwala, CEO at Silverpoint Press Pvt Ltd
Topic: Diversifying the Commercial Print Business

Saifee Makasarwala has spent over three decades building his career at Silverpoint Press, which he joined in 1993 straight out of printing institute as a trainee — rising through the business rather than being brought in from outside. That ground-level path shaped his instinct for where digital print could take the business: he led Silverpoint's shift from a traditional offset operation into digital, and in 2017 drove the launch of printnation.in, initially as a B2B web-to-print venture. When he saw stronger demand on the consumer side, he pivoted it to a direct-to-consumer print-on-demand brand within 14 months — a bet that's since paid off with a 4.9/5 rating across 4,000+ customer reviews and sustained 100% year-on-year growth. At the Dscoop India Goa Meet, Saifee will speak on diversification in commercial print — drawing on Silverpoint's own path from a single-line offset business into a hybrid digital operation and, further still, into a consumer e-commerce brand, and what it takes to make each of those bets pay off rather than just spread the business thin.

Kalpesh Mehta, CEO, SRK Group of Digital Labs
Topic: Beyond the Storefront: Scaling Print Through Digital Marketing & E-Commerce
Kalpesh Mehta is CEO of SRK Group of Digital Labs (also known as SRK Creative), a Mumbai-based photo and print finishing business. The company traces back to 1984, when Sandip Lab first launched, with Rupam Lab and Kamal Lab joining a few years later; the three unified under the SRK Creative name in 2000, giving the business its current 25+ year history in photo finishing.
Under Kalpesh's leadership, SRK has grown into one of Mumbai's largest photo-lab operations — running 30+ retail photostores across Mumbai plus a location in Pune, with a Borivali East manufacturing unit producing 150–200 albums and photo books a day. The business runs on a mix of HP Indigo digital presses, other digital equipments, and large-format printers, and its product lines span photo books (Jade, Pearl, Ruby, Blossom), lay-flat and specialty binding, calendars, and design services, alongside offset and large-format print. At the Goa Meet, he'll bring a rare vantage point on Digital Marketing & E-Commerce: what it actually takes for a traditional print business to build a consumer-facing brand, drive online demand, and operate at retail scale.
Gaurav Narang, Founder, Coffee Culture
Topic: What Brands Really Want: A Coffee Culture & Unseen Lens on Print & Packaging
Gaurav Narang is the Founder of Coffee Culture, one of India's homegrown café chains, and also founded the food venture Unseen & Uncultured. He discovered his love for café culture as an undergraduate in Pune, where the city's barista scene inspired him and a group of childhood friends to bring that experience home to Surat. In December 2004, he launched the first Coffee Culture outlet there — facing early skepticism from customers who asked for "Nescoffee" — and worked behind the counter himself to introduce patrons to espresso-based drinks.
Over two decades, Coffee Culture grew into a well-loved social hub, differentiated by quality coffee paired with an unconventional food menu (burgers and sizzlers alongside café staples). Rather than a single template, Gaurav has designed each outlet around local character — a palatial-industrial look in Jaipur, Persian design reflecting Navsari's Parsi heritage, and an art-gallery concept in Baroda — and now runs roughly sixteen outlets across multiple Indian cities. He's an experienced Managing Director in the F&B space with expertise across catering, negotiation, retail operations, and coffee sourcing, and has been featured as a speaker at industry events including the Restaurant India Congress and the India Retail & E-commerce Congress (IReC).
