Visa Requirements

Visa Entry Requirements

Citizens from many countries—including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, South Korea and most EU countries—can enter Vietnam visa-free for 30–45 days (depending on nationality).

However, citizens from countries including China, Hong Kong, India, Australia, and the US will need to apply for a Vietnam e-Visa before travel. We recommend applying at least 2 weeks ahead, rather than the standard 3–5 day processing window, to avoid last-minute issues.

Official Resources for Vietnam Visa Requirements:
  • Visitors can check if they need a visa, apply online, or see Visa on Arrival eligibility.
  • Includes country-specific entry policies.

Mandatory online entry declaration, in effect since April 15, 2026 — required for all foreign travelers clearing immigration at Tan Son Nhat (SGN). Free. Not a visa.

When to submit: Within 72 hours before arrival — system rejects earlier submissions. Don't leave it for the last minute, but also don't do it too early.

This is separate from your visa — if attendees need an e-Visa, they still apply separately at evisa.gov.vn (US$25, single-entry, ~3-5 working days processing).

✈️ Beat the Queue: Get Your VIP Fast Track

Immigration queues at Ho Chi Minh City's Tan Son Nhat Airport (SGN) are no joke — travelers have reported waiting up to 2 hours or more to clear passport control, especially during peak arrival times. There are no e-gates for foreign passport holders, and no priority lane for business class, so everyone joins the same line.

To protect your time at the summit, we strongly recommend booking the VIP Fast Track service for both your arrival and departure — a dedicated agent will meet you at the aircraft, guide you through immigration, and get you out in minutes. At ~USD $21 per service, it's one of the best investments you'll make for this trip.
